Before paying for a repair, check two things: is the part still under the manufacturer’s warranty, and is your model on a recall? Each brand guide covers both.

Most Samsung appliances: 1 year parts and labor. Refrigerators: 10 years parts on the digital inverter compressor and 5 years labor on the sealed system. Washers bought on or after April 1, 2026: 10 years on the digital inverter motor.

Refrigerators: 1 year parts and labor; sealed system and compressor 5 years parts and labor; linear or inverter compressor parts only in years 6 to 10 (you pay labor). Front load washers: direct drive motor 10 years, parts only.

1 year: Whirlpool pays for factory specified parts and repair labor to correct defects in materials or workmanship. Longer component coverage varies by model; check your warranty document.

GE Appliances’ standard limited warranty is typically one year. Some appliances carry longer coverage on specific parts; the terms are in your owner’s manual.
